Cakes by Michelle Walker

Cakes by Michelle Walker was officially born in 2018, but I've been making cakes since 2014 practicing on creating cakes for close friends and family as yet another self taught hobby. I've been so lucky to be able to turn my hobby into a living.

Some years ago I made it my mission to banish New Years resolutions and instead try something new and creative each year. Cake decorating was on the list for about 5 years before my best friend got married. She actually trusted me with her wedding cake.

Initially I was over the moon as it was my first ever cake project! Until the harsh reality of what I'd agreed to impacted. I read books, watched videos and asked about a million and one questions in the cake decoration supply shop. I'm not going to lie I think I may have come very close to tears on more than one occasion. On the day we delivered her three tier heart shaped wedding cake to the venue and set it up. I realised from then, that I loved it. From this was born Cakes by Michelle Walker.

I went on to learn more and I'm still learning. Cake fashion changes in the same way that clothes do, there's always something exciting and new. So whether it's a cake pop, a cupcake, a mini cake, a birthday cake or a wedding cake, we promise to put every effort into creating it with quality ingredients and a beautiful finish.

Shyz Cakez

Hi, my name is Shyann and I’m 20 yrs old and I am the owner of Shyz Cakez. I’ve been baking from the age of 13 and have enjoyed it every step of the way.

At first it started off as a hobby until family and friends encouraged me to start a business in baking.

I have gained a good clientele that has continued to grow and I am thankful for all the support that I’ve received over the years.

O'Fishley Baked

This business started off as a hobby whilst I was in sixth form and then rapidly grew selling cupcakes then moving on to other sweet treats like brownies, blondies cheesecakes and cakes.

Fast forwarding nearly 7 years I'm still here baking away and doing brunches , party planing and also making cocktails and mocktails

Coco's Corner

I make bespoke cakes and bakes for birthdays, baby showers, christenings and other special occasion events, and even for those days when you just fancy a treat.

I'm a hardcore dessert lover and 100% a sweet tooth connoisseur so I pride myself on doing the things we all know and love but also adding my own razzle dazzle that keeps me in my own little lane.

Baking allows my creativity to run wild and also connect with a wide variety of people, some of which have become really good friends.

My favourite and most popular items include include The Classics such as NYC Cookies, Brownies, Cinnabon style Cinnamon Rolls, Yeast Doughnuts, Sprinkle Cake, Lemon Drizzle, Caribbean Plain Cake, Ginger Cake, and my the Newbies like The Millionaire, Apple Pie, Strawberry Shorty, Sweet Potato Pie and S’mores.

Say It With Flour

Hi my name is kaysha Maynard

Im an NHS worker full time and a part time self taught cake maker.

I have always had a passion for baking; you could always find me in the kitchen on Sundays, baking a cake to accompany Sunday dinner.

My passion and determination for cake decorating starting when I had my daughter and was often unsatisfied with cakes I purchased. I have a passion for full on flavours and believe that a cake should taste as good as it looks (or better!).

Since 2013 I have made cakes for friends and family and in 2021 I turned my dream into reality and launched my business: Say it with Flour.

Khalids Kakes

We are a family run business selling bespoke, handmade, fresh cakes nationwide. We started out selling cookies and flapjacks etc on the streets of Birmingham from a painting table to try and make money to support my growing family whilst trying my hardest not to return to a life of guns and drugs and general road life. I struggled to hold down a job due to having to choose (as a diabetic) between eating and praying on my breaks and found alot of discrimination in the places I was working.

Being forced to hustle due to many family issues etc and bills growing by the grace of Allah me and my wife made some cookies for a friend and from there Khalid’s Kakes began.

As the business grew we went from strength to strength by the grace of God and we now successfully run our business from a 1000sq ft unit. Taking up to 6 wedding cakes a day and employing staff. Out of my quest to be the best I have a passion for baking the best cakes everytime I step into the bakery and love supplying people with my cakes.

I have found that my past life lessons, my image and the Jamaican twist to the cakes has made me, my wife and team well known within this sector.
